The problem
Campus life is scattered: events live in a dozen group chats, club activities on paper flyers, and interesting places in word of mouth. There's no single view that answers the simple question, "what's going on near me right now?"
The approach
- Map-first discovery. Built on the Google Maps API, the app anchors every event and place to a pin, so browsing campus activity feels like exploring a map rather than scrolling a feed.
- Three things students actually do. Quick post creation for anything happening now, filtered study-spot discovery for finding somewhere to work, and real-time issue reporting for things on campus that need attention — each one a few taps rather than a form.
- Lightweight front end. React with Tailwind CSS keeps the interface fast and responsive across screen sizes, deployed on Netlify.
- Built as a team. Developed collaboratively as a group project, then presented to a panel of judges at MadCoders' end-of-year symposium.
